jamesdavisproxy.com is the personal website of James Davis ("we", "us"). It is not a business and nothing on it is sold. Some areas are private and require an account we have issued; the public part of the site is this page, the policies, and the text messaging sign-up.

What you get: automated messages from the James Davis Home Hub, a home automation and monitoring system James Davis runs at home: a one-time confirmation when you sign up, alerts and status updates from its sensors, and replies to commands you text it. These are informational messages; we do not send marketing or promotional texts. The program is for household members and friends James Davis invites.
How you opt in: by submitting the sign-up form on our homepage with your mobile number and ticking the consent box, or by texting a keyword such as START to our number. We send one message to confirm. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of anything else.
Message frequency varies with what the system observes and how often you text it. Expect a few messages a week at most.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard charges for text messages apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opting out: reply STOP to any message and you will receive one confirmation and nothing further. You can also ask us to remove your number by contacting james.davis.proxy@gmail.com. To re-join, reply START or sign up again.

We may change these terms. The effective date at the top moves when we do, and material changes to the messaging program will be sent to subscribers by text.
